Does my membership include the pools?
Yes, your Fitness Centre membership does include access to all the pools, spas and sauna (a good way to recover from a hard workout!)

 

What does the ‘No Fixed Term' membership option mean?
‘No Fixed Term' means that you just have to give 30 days notice to can cancel down your membership at any time. 


Do I have to pay extra for group fitness classes?
No, all the Les Mills group fitness classes and aqua fitness classes are included in your membership.


Do you have yoga?
We offer Les Mills Body Balance - a mixture of Yoga, Tai Chi and Pilates that builds strength and flexibility and leaves you feeling centred and calm.


Do I get an initial exercise programme written for me?
Yes, we do an initial fitness assessment and programme that then gets updated every 8 - 12 weeks, all for FREE!

 

How do I know what level my child will be at when I enroll them?

How do I find out what days and times are available for my child to swim?
Dive on in to the ASB Aquatic & Fitness Centre, phone the SwimMagic team on 543 9755 or email asbswimmagic@clmnz.co.nz 

 

What do I do if my child is away sick?
Please phone and let us know on 543 9755. Our policy is that SwimMagic offers 2 free swim passes per term to be used in term time only. These swims are free and are given to allow for children to practice their skills. No makeup lessons or credits are given for missed lessons. 

 

How do I know if my child is ready to move up?  
Swimmers are assessed during week 1 and week 6. You will receive confirmation during week 8 or 9 letting you know the level your child will be at for the following term. If you wish to discuss your child's level, we have Senior Instructors pool side every day, please talk with them, they are happy to help.

 

How much does it cost?  
A 10 week term costs $125, if the term is shorter or longer the price will be adjusted accordingly. You will be required to pay a $20 deposit by the last day of the previous term, and pay in full by the 1st day of term. We have a Debit Success payment option available, email pab@clmnz.co.nz for more details. 

 

Who will my instructor be?    
SwimMagic aims to provide consistancy in your child's swimming, however we reserve the right to change instructors, modify lesson times and cancel any block of lessons at our discretion.

How long will my concession card be valid for?
Until the 10 visits are used up.


Does my membership for the pools include Aqua Fitness classes?
No, these classes are now included in the Fitness Centre memberships as this is now run as a group fitness programme.


What time is the aqua run available?
On weekends and during the holidays we aim to have the aqua run up from 1pm to 3pm each day.

 

When are the waves on?
On school days from 3.30pm with the last set going at 5.30pm and on weekends from 10am, with the last set going at 4.30pm. 

 

Do the waves go continuously?
No, the waves go in sets of 10 minutes and are followed by a 20 minute rest period. An alarm sounds just before the waves go on again.

Why do I have to pay $1 visitors fee if I am accompanying my children to swim but not doing so myself?
The visitors fee is a nominal charge for users who are not swimming but whose presense still impacts on the facility. The fee helps to cover the cost of providing seating, toilet facilites, cleaning and facility presentation. 

When do I have to pay the visitors fee?
If you intend to stay in the pool areas for longer than half an hour. 
 

How will I know if there are lanes available for me to swim when I want to?
Phone ahead and ask one of the Customer Service staff for up to the minute information, pick up one of our lane availability guides in the facility to give you an idea of when there may be reduced space and also consult our noticeboard in the foyer to see what's on for the day. 


What is the Wave Rave?
Wave Rave is an event for 8-14 year olds run EVERY Friday night from 7-9pm at the ASB Aquatic & Fitness Center. The waves are big, music is cranking and you can challenge yourself on our awesome aqua run! This event also includes adrenaline pumping competitions with awesome prizes up for grabs. Every month special event nights are run for even bigger Wave Raves!  


What is Sunday Funday?
Sunday Funday is a Wave Rave for families! Held from 1-3pm on the last Sunday of each month at the ASB Aquatic & Fitness Center, this event provides fun for the whole family. Includes competitions, wave pool action, aqua run challenges, prizes and more. 


What is the B-Active Kids Holiday Programme?
Held during the school holidays, this programme delivers quality, action packed experiences for children. The aim is to get children active during the holidays, develop friendships and have loads of fun! The range of activities provided include sports workshops, team challenges, arts activities, movies, cooking and more. We have something for everyone!
