Swim School

Welcome to the ASB Aquatic Centre's Swim Magic Swim School! 

Our award-winning swim school is dedicated to teaching children and adults to become confident and safe in the water, along with developing and refining stroke technique. We also give them the opportunity to participate and compete in a group.

SwimMagic is New Zealand’s largest swim school provider based out of 13 of New Zealand’s most impressive aquatic facilities from Whangarei through to Nelson.  Set up by Community Leisure Management (CLM) in 2008, SwimMagic provides lessons to over 10,000 swimmers around New Zealand on a weekly basis.

In 2009, we were awarded the NZ Blue Swim Magic Swim School of the Year in the Community Leisure Management (CLM) Awards. We have also recently been nominated for an award for our innovative community outreach water safety programme.
