Tasman Magic Academy

 What is the Tasman Magic Academy?

Tasman Magic Academy is a coaching programme for competitive swimmers who belong to a local swimming club. This programme includes pool sessions along with dry land training opportunities. All swimmers are encouraged to compete at a local, regional and national level. 

To be eligble to swim with Tasman Magic Academy, swimmers must have achieved all Gold Level goals and they must belong to one of the Nelson/Malborough Swimming Clubs.

 

 

The Team

The Tasman Magic Academy at the ASB Aquatic and Fitness Centre is coached by Lewis Hoskins and the SwimMagic team.

 

Training Sessions

Junior: 8-10yrs

Monday/Wednesday/Friday: 3.45pm - 4.45pm

Saturday: 8.15am - 9.45am

 

Intermediate: 11-13yrs

Monday to Friday: 4.45pm - 6.15pm 

Saturday: 8.15am - 9.45am

 

Senior: 14+ yrs

Monday to Thursday: 6.15pm - 7.45pm

Friday: 5.15pm - 6.45pm

Saturday: 8.15am - 9.45am

 

Note: Swimmers are encouraged to be there 15mins prior to each session to warm-up before entering the water.

Olympians Clinic 

8th and 9th October - ASB Aquatic and Fitness Centre

On Saturday/Sunday 8/9 October 2011 SwimMagic at the ASB Aquatic & Fitness Centre are fortunate to be hosting three fabulous Olympians - Paul Kent, Corey Swanepoel and William Benson - who will be running a total of six clinics for local/regional swimmers.

Who are these clinics for?

In addition to these clinics for swimmers, all local coaches are welcome to attend free of charge to view and attend clinics and Q & A sessions. Please register your interest by emailing shs@clmnz.co.nz.

The clinics are suitable for all levels of swimmers from beginning competitive swimmers to advanced elite swimmers. Swimmers should have base skills in all four core strokes and can swim 25m repetitions holding technique. Triathletes are also more than welcome to register.

 Swimmers will be grouped in age/ability groups for sessions, 12 & under (Junior) and 13 & over (Senior) for each clinic. To register, please phone 543 9755 or email shs@clmnz.co.nz
