Cameron Pool Indoor cricket team
I was there at the beginning of the inaugural Cameron Pool Indoor cricket team. I watched as our team grew in various ways. Firstly as all teams do, we grew AS A TEAM. Indoor cricket was used as a medium to meet members from our facility in Mount Roskill and as a way of keeping active. We definitely achieved this by meeting new friends and enjoying a great hour and a half of quick intense side to side action cricket. We grew as players increasing our knowledge of the game and playing abilities. I had Fun and I hope that those who played in some of the games did too.
Our Cameron Pool Team compromised of a core of players who played most of the games and I would like to acknowledge them. As within cricket culture each player is normally given a nick name or a team name. This tradition stems through cricket on all levels from International Test level to the local game down at Keith Hay Park.

Special thanks to: Craig Peterson, Patrick Iwobi, Michelle Barnsley, Rajan Judge, Kunal Shahani and others for making this a great season.
“It’s never the results but the process”
Looking back on these games there are a few
Memories that stood out,
· Deane taking a big tumble to try to secure the single,
· Mike Wrigley became our highest scoring left hander and also was our most economical left hander bowler. We could always toss him the ball to tighten up the runs
· Patrick Iwobi - 3 Stumpings in a row – Against Him
· Matt Down Four wickets In three balls – yes it was that good of an over.
· My double out with one hand tied behind my back – “It coulda been”
· Prince and ZTish start off well and like New Zealand we collapsed .
· STEVE AUSTIN CATCHES WITH EYES CLOSED, Twice
· MIKE WRIGLEY DOES THE SAME THE WEEK AFTER
· Neil Down walks home after recording a negative innings.
· Matt Powel Could not hit stumps so decides to aim for the larger figure of Matt Downs' Leg
I was there in the beginning and lasted until the end of the season. “It’s never the results but the process.” I had a good time. Please keep up the interest so that next season we can make new memoires meet new people and use cricket as a medium for physical activity.
