FAQs

Question: Can I still have alcohol and sweet foods like chocolate?
Answer: Yes, although the influence of alcohol and sugary foods will be discussed with you.

Question: Dieting has not worked previously. Will I lose weight?
Answer: Deprivation, yo-yo, and fad diets put your body into a state of malnutrition, cause weight loss only while you are on the diet, and increase the rate of weight gain when you stop. To lose weight successfully you need to make smart, small, sustainable changes in the areas of diet, exercise, physical activity, thinking and lifestyle within a supportive environment over a long period of time.

Question: How many nutrition sessions will I need?
Answer: A one on one nutrition assessment is carried out initially and is followed by eight nutrition seminars spaced apart weekly.

Question: How much weight will I lose?
Answer: This depends on factors such as: current weight, age, and physical activity levels. If you lose an average of 250 - 500 grams (half to one block of butter) per week that is good progress and equates to approximately 13 - 26 kilograms per year.
