John has a wide range of experience in community recreation gained from working inside local government and in the private sector. He has assisted departments in the development of management systems and policies, and has worked on a voluntary basis with community and national organizations.

Joe Griffin

Bach of Arts Maj in Social Work, Dip in Community Development

Joe has a broad range of experience in community recreation from working initially in hotel management and the restaurant business, before managing and overseeing a number of recreation and aquatic centres. Joe was responsible for community facilities in Upper Hutt and then Auckland City Council.

Geoffs has over 22 years experience in Fitness Centres. He now oversees 15 fitness centres for CLM and has been directly responsible for setting up 9 of these sites from scratch. Though many business trends and systems are generic throughout the fitness industy, in particular gyms, Geoff has developed and enhanced many effective business systems throughout his time with CLM that are exclusive to CLM.

Lynn Cartwright

SwimMagic National Manager

BSc Hons in Physiology & Sports Science, AUSTSWIM Presenter and Assessor

Lynn has worked for CLM since 2009. She was a SwimMagic Coordinator before becoming the SwimMagic National Manager in 2015. While working as a Coordinator she led her team to win the CLM SwimMagic Swim School of the Year in both 2012 and 2013. She has taught babies through to coaching adult Triathlon Squads. As SwimMagic National Manager Lynn provides support to the Swim School Coordinators and ensures all the swim schools are profitable and running efficiently. Lynn focuses on the programme delivery, administration and the training and development of the staff.

Neven began volunteering on Holiday Programmes in 1998. This led to running the Holiday Programme and Sport Leagues at Papakura Rec. After coaching football overseas, Neven worked at Franklin Sport, Swim & Fitness. As Programmes Manager, Neven's knowledge, experience and energy provides valuable support to all CLM programmes.

Kirsty Knowles

Bach of Sport and Exercise Science, National Cert in Water Treatment

Kirsty has extensive experience in facility management and provides assistance in all aspects of operations to the aquatic sites managed by CLM. Her role includes training and development, aquatics operations, internal audits, health and safety systems and procedures and compliancy.

Pierre Holland

Aquatics Manager

Cert in Human Services, National Cert in Water Treatment, Cert in Supervision, NPLA Cert

Pierre started work for CLM in 1999 as a lifeguard and swim school instructor. He has a comprehensive background includes managing several aquatic facilities. Pierre provides support with operations, health and safety, emergency response, training, compliancy and processes. When not working, Pierre enjoys playing soccer and golf.

Bridget Cairns

Bridget has worked with CLM in a number of roles for other a decade. Currently Bridget provides training and support to CLM facilities with the Centaman operating system, reception and administration processes and conducts Cash Handling & Admin Audits.

Nicky Bird

Nicky Bird
Financial Controller

Nicky comes from a strong banking background. After working as a bank teller/customer service representative in Wellington and Melbourne, she returned to Wellington to spend the next nine years working in Foreign Exchange. Nicky has worked for CLM for fifteen years and is responsible for managing the overall cash flow and financial position of the CLM Group. She is directly responsible for Payroll and Monthly Financial accounts and reports for the CLM Facilities in Northland, the lower North Island, and the South Island.

Nicole Parker

Office Manager

Nicole brings to CLM and SwimMagic 12 years of relevant industry experience and has been a key person within the Support Office Accounts department for five years. During this time Nicole has been involved in the development and establishment of many systems both in the accounts and administration areas of the business but also within the SwimMagic programme. Her experience working across multiple sites and within the different business units makes her a hugely valuable asset to the team.

Annalies Donald

Annalies has a comprehensive background in swim school management and operations and is hugely respected in ‘Learn to Swim’ circles. Annalies also has experience in policy writing and development within the recreation and leisure industry.

Tom Mann

Tom has been actively working within the Recreation and leisure industry for the last 6 years with a key focus on social sport programmes for all ages. Tom spent 6 months running free programmes throughout the South Auckland region over the summer in partnership with Auckland Council.

Christine Mercer

CLM Senior Programme Manager

Christine has worked with CLM since 1997 in facility management at both Papakura and Otahuhu. True to her passions of community and fitness Christine has delivered seniors exercise classes for the past 25 years. Her experience, energy and determination make her well suited to drive programme development for CLM in the 55+ market.
