Chill Out Before/After School & Holiday Programme
Freyberg Community Pool has offers a well established and successful Before and After School Care Programme, as well as Holiday Programmes.
The Chill Out programme aims to provide a safe and stimulating programme that caters for the children's different ages, gender, cultural backgrounds while attempting to meet the individual needs and interests.

The programme will run 7.00am - 8.30am and 3.00pm - 6.00pm during the school term in both the morning and afternoon from Monday to Friday (except public holidays). We do a walking bus to pick up from our local school and a van pick up is available for those further out. If your child attends, a school other than those listed below, then contact us to discuss transport options.
Chill Out offers a well-managed services that meets the needs of the local community. The Before and After School Care Programme is run from Red Sox Clubrooms on Tremaine Ave, alternatively the Holiday Programme is run from Freyberg Community Pool and Freyberg High School.
- Roslyn:Pick Up by School Office, walk back to Red Sox
- St Mary's:Pick Up by School Office, walk back to Red Sox
- Ross Intermediate: Pick Up by School Office for the first week or so. The children walk back to Red Sox with their friends and/or other program attendants.
- Cornerstone: Pick Up at the back gates
- Milson: Pick Up at front entrance of School, Rutland Place.
- Russell St:Pick Up is at the car park by the playground at the front of the school.
- Parkland:Pick Up is from the pick up area at the front of the school.
- Terrace End:Pick Up by School Office.
- Te Kura Kaupapa: Pick Up from the back of the chool(wait with teacher).
- Central Normal: Pick Up by School Office.
- Hokowhitu Primary:Pick up out front of school
- Girls High School:Walk/ bike to programme by themselves
- Boys High School: Walk/ bike to programme by themselves
- St Peters College: Walk/ bike to programme by themselves
- Freyberg High School:Walk to programme by themselves
The structure of the programme will be:
3.00pm - Pick up from School
3.30pm - Arrive at Centre and have a snack for afternoon tea.
3.45pm - Homework time with supervisor's assistance.
4.00pm - Daily Activity.
5.00pm - Kids choice until pick up time.
Our daily activities will change and include swimming, sports, games, baking, arts and more!
This programme is CYF and OSCAR approved and WINZ subsidies are available for parents/caregivers. For more information about WINZ subsidies, follow the links below....
