Aqua Fitness 

Aqua Fitness classes at the Massey Park Pool provide a great low impact way of keeping fit! Suitable for all ages and abilities, including non swimmers! Great for rehabilitation and pregnancies as well!   

Casual class rates and concessions available. 

Aqua Cardio

A shallow water class where you are in chest-deep water and get a cardio-based class with minimal impact on your joints. Perfect for rehabbing injuries.

Aqua Gymstick

The class is a shallow class like Aqua Cardio, but you use an Aqua Gymstick which has rubberised tubing attached at either end. Aqua Gymstick is either an all-out power class or a relaxed one, you choose the resistance level you want. This class requires a booking unless you own your own gymstick. Bookings can be made at reception and must be paid at time of booking.

Aqua Deep

Great for cardio-based resistance, body balance control and no impact on your joints. Aqua belt or noodle used for buoyancy.

Vicki Jones

Head Aqua Fitness Instructor

Vicki has worked for CLM for more than 22 years, teaching Aqua Aerobic classes, starting at Mt Albert Aquatic Centre. She has been with us at Massey Park Pool for 22 years.
Vicki has multiple qualifications in all aspects of Aqua Aerobics, Network For Fitness Professionals, Green Prescription, Cala Aqua Fitness, Gymstick Aqua, Gymstick Muscle, Gymstick Personal Trainer, Wets (Water Exercise Training Service) and
National Certificate in Group Fitness( Deep, shallow, pregnancy, rehabilitation). She is well known in Auckland for mentoring & training instructors. Teaching Aqua is Vicki’s passion & happy place.

Karla Buchanan

Aqua Fitness Instructor

Karla has lived and worked in the Papakura area her whole life. She has a WETS Aqua Instructor qualification and a Netfit Certificate in Functional Anatomy and Physiology. Karla has spent the last nine years at private facilities in Drury and Karaka, running aqua classes and assisting with rehabilitation and personal training. Karla has a long association with the Papakura Athletic and Harrier Club, and enjoys running and tramping in her spare time.

Klavdiya Chernenko

Aqua Instructor

Klavdiya has been in the Aquatic industry for 14 years. Klavdiya has New Zealand Certificate in Freestyle Group Exercise level 4 and Swim & Water Safety teacher level 4. Klavdiya has overseas experience in swim teaching, aqua aerobics and lifeguarding and looks forward to working with our range of customers at our busy Massey Park Pool facility.

Kirstie Nash

Aqua Instructor

Kirstie has taught and covered Aqua classes for over 8yrs+ at Massey Park Pool. Her main role is coving Instructors, working around Swim School and Water Safety lessons.
She teaches classes mainly in the water, so can interact and be involved. It is great to see people of all ages, abilities and fitness levels, getting in the water and giving the classes a go.
