Adults
The aim is to teach the valuable life skill of swimming to you and your family members with a simple, positive approach. Lessons are structured accounting to ability and goals are set for you to obtain before progressing to the next level.
Adult classes are once a week for 10 weeks during school term.
Duration of the classes is 30 minutes long
Ratio is 5-6 adults per lane.
You will be assigned an instructor who will teach from inside or outside of the water depending on your level.
Price includes entry and you are welcome to use the pool any time during the term, not just on the day of your lesson. Any extra swimming adults/children must pay normal entry price. No charge for spectating family members.
All Adults MUST have goggles. (Can be purchased at our Reef Break shop, behind Reception)
We are currently looking at creating more levels for the Adult Programme. But at the moment we are running lessons on these days and times:
Day Adult Level 1 Adult Level 2
Tuesday 6.00pm, 6.30pm & 7.00pm
Thursday 6.30pm & 7.00pm 6.30pm
Sunday 10.30am, 11.15am, 11.45am, 12.15pm 11.10am
Adult Level 1 (Beginner): Learning to float, kick on front and back, and learn Freestyle and Backstroke assisted. (Results will vary depending on confidence & practice) Instructor will teach new skills when they feel confident that you are ready to. If you are learning to swim for a specific reason please let your Instructor know (Police / Army / Flight Attendant recruitment).
Adult Level 2: must be able to swim 25m Freestyle, Backstroke and developing Breaststroke (technique based training). Must be comfortable in the deep.
