Manual Therapy

We have highly qualified manual therapists using a "hands on" approach to restore function and reduce pain. Manipulation and mobilisation is used along with the knowledge of muscle imbalance to gain full function.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture is one of the oldest forms of medicine and has been used in China for thousands of years. Sterile acupuncture is used to encourage self healing and provide pain relief. Acupuncture is especially useful for musculoskeletal conditions, muscle and joint problems and headaches. At Aquasports Physiotherapy, acupuncture is used to compliment your physiotherapy treatment if your provider thinks it may benefit your specific circumstances.

Gym and Hydrotherapy Programmes

We are in a unique position of offering onsite fully equipped gym and pool facilities for rehabilitation. All of our physiotherapists are able to create a personalised programme for your treatment requirements to help you recover and gain full functional independence. We provide Work Hardening Programmes (WHP), Functional Reactivation Programmes (FRP) and Progressive Goal Attainment Programmes (PGAP) utilising this valuable resource.

The gym is fully equipped with cardiovascular equipment including exercycles, cross trainers and treadmills. A mat area allows for free weights, and Swiss ball conditioning under the supervision and guidance of your physiotherapist. Your physiotherapist will design and progress a gym programme to suit your needs and functional requirements.

Specialised individual programmes for hydrotherapy are also available utilising a 25 m lap pool with a walking lane and spa and sauna facilities.  Hydrotherapy is a low impact form of exercise which is good for post surgical rehabilitation, spinal injuries, arthritic conditions and gaining full mobility.
