Richmond Aquatic Centre Wave Pool Closed for Maintenance

The wave pool and lazy river at the Richmond Aquatic Centre have been emptied of water and are closed for maintenance until about mid-June.

Tasman District Council Community Partnerships Co-ordinator Mike Tasman-Jones said a regular inspection identified the need to bring forward planned maintenance.

“The wave pool and lazy river will be closed until mid-June. We know this is a really popular facility at the Aquatic Centre so we apologise that it won’t be available for the next month. All the other facilities at the pool are still open as usual.”

All other pools remain open and our regular weekly lane & hydro pool bookings are listed here on our website.

Friday night Wave Rave will still run each Friday however entry will be reduced to $5 until the pool reopens.
