Nelson Canoe Club
Canoe polo is a fast moving game that combines ball skills and kayaking with a similar game plan to water polo or netball. Apart from being a great game in its own right, it is very good for improving your whitewater paddling skills. The Nelson Canoe Club hosts leagues in both winter and summer for beginners and more advanced paddlers.
Games are held at Nayland Park during the summer and Riverside pool for the remainder of the year.
All required gear is provided and pool entry is covered in the charge.

Underwater Hockey - A Breathtaking Sport
We are a fast growing sport that caters for all ages and fitness levels. You don't need to be a great swimmer but confidence in the water is helpful. Currently we have 6 school teams mainly from Nelson College for girls and Nelson College. They have had a lot of success gaining many titles at south Islands. We also have one adult team that places emphasis on fun, social get together’s and a little bit of fitness. We are always looking for new members both school and adult so if you are interested please email Warwick or Alex king.wjk@xtra.co.nz
We play from February through to September on Thursday, Friday and Sunday nights. If you enjoy the water but don't like swimming up and down then this could be the sport for you.
