Meet the Team

A BIG welcome from the crew at Tauranga Leisure.  We are a modest bunch of individuals so getting us in front of the camera is proving to be difficult.  What we can share with you is that we are all passionate about the sport, recreation and fitness industry.  We work hard and play even harder!

We currently employ 11 full-timers, 6 part-timers and 24 programme specific facilitators/umpires.  With ten facilities to manage of varying configurations and specialties, our staff need to be diverse and have a range of skills. 

Tauranga Leisure has become a pathway for students studying at the local BOP Polytechnic Sport, Rec & Fitness Dept.  We employ students who are still studying but keen to put what they are learning into practice and are fortunate to have a number of diploma and degree graduates on board in full-time positions.  Our centre managers are all highly experienced and qualified and have a wealth of knowledge and guidance to lead the rest of the team. 

We are committed to the ongoing development of individuals and offer on-the-job training which leads onto Skills Active qualifications.  When potential leaders are identified we put them forward to attend CLM's Leadership programme and/or the Skills Active Facility Development Programme - learning is ongoing.
