CLM CLUB CONNECT

CLM Community Sport is committed to building stronger sports clubs within the Counties Manukau region. Sports clubs are the lifeblood of our communities but face many challenges.

Young people have more choices, so sports clubs have to work harder to provide competitions and activities that retain their existing members and attract new members.

Sports clubrooms are ageing, and it is becoming increasingly more difficult to maintain them. Clubs are competing for grounds with other sports. Volunteers are hard to come by and sometimes it is a struggle to get the right people doing the jobs that need to be done.

The CLM Club Connect programme has been developed to support and grow clubs in the Counties Manukau region. This is done through

Firstly, if you hadn't held the CLM Funding Workshop earlier this month, we would not have known what was available to us in terms of funding. So, the workshop has been extremely worthwhile and helpful. Plus, it has really motivated our committee and supporters into moving our club forward.

Secondly, thanks to yourself and Doug for coming out and meeting myself, Sonia and Shane at the clubrooms yesterday. Your direction and input into how and what we can achieve is really exciting for us!"
