Play it Safe
We are happy to be able to reopen the facility for you in Level 2. The following information has been put into place to ensure your safety for us to be able to operate under Level 2. You will note a number of changes to our previous Level 2 operations. Please become familiar with these prior to visiting.
During Level 2 all visitors to the facility will be required to complete the mandatory contact tracing by scanning the QR code. This will be available to scan as you enter the facility and is located towards the reception desk, please note this will need to be verified by our team. If you don’t have a device to scan you will be required to report to the reception desk, where a staff member will record your details for you.
All Customers are required to maintain 2 metre physical distance from others at all times.
Mask wearing is mandatory for everyone over the age of 12 for entering and exiting our facility and in all dry areas. It is not mandatory to wear a mask on poolside or while exercising, however, feel free to if you wish.
All Membership/Visit Pass and SwimMagic card holders will be required to scan both the Government QR Code and their membership tag at reception on arrival, this needs to be presented to our team so they can verify it has been done.
To ensure a safe environment for all our customers and staff, please follow directions and guidelines from our facility staff. Please note information is subject to change and we will adapt our Level 2 plan as and when required.
All our pools are open in level 2 however to ensure we can allow customers to meet the requirements of maintaining 2m physical distancing capacity has been reduced as follows
- Lane Pool– maximum 4 swimmers per lane. Odd number lanes to be entered from the shallow end only. Even number lanes to be entered from the deep end only.
- Hydrotherapy pool – Maximum 12 swimmers.
- Adult Spa – Maximum 4 people (30min spa per person)
- Family Spa - Maximum 5 people (30min spa per person)
- Toddlers pool – maximum 2 upper toddlers pool, and 6 in the lower pool.
- Wave Pool - maximum 30 swimmers. Waves and inflatables are unavailable in level 2.
- Sauna – Open for bookings only, please see below for booking information.
- Change rooms – Our change facilities are open but where possible please shower and change at home.
*1 adult and child under 5 are classed as 1 in pool numbers as under 5’s are required to be in arms reach at all times.
There will be no Friday night Wave Raves or Aqua Run during level 2. The facility will remain open to 9pm on Fridays for leisure swimming.
Weekends & School Holidays at alert Level 2
As we are operating under reduced capacity please note there will be some set leisure swimming times for our wave/toddler/spa pools with a total capacity in the leisure pools of 47. (Excludes lane swimming) This is for during alert level 2 to allow more of the community to access the facility during peak school holidays and weekend times.

Once we reach capacity in our leisure pools we will be operating on a 1 in 1 out basis.
Leisure Swimming Times
- 9am – 10:45am
- 11am – 12:45pm
- 1pm – 2:45pm
- 3pm – 4:45pm
By arriving at the beginning of the leisure session time, this will give you the longest period of swimming , for example if you arrive at 11am and there is space you will be able to swim for the full 1.5 hours
*Session times may differ on weekends to cater for birthday
If we are not at capacity, you will be welcome to stay longer than the session time; otherwise you will be called to exit depending on your wrist band colour once we reach pool capacity.
We will only be taking bookings for groups of 10 or more, please call us on (03) 5439755if you would like to book a group.
All leisure swimmers from 8am daily will be issued with a wristband on arrival, we will issue a new colour every hour, you will be issued the colour closest to the hour you arrive.
A reminder there are no waves, inflatables or lazy river during level 2.

You may book up to 4 people in your group.
Booking times are available every hour on the hour each day as follows:
- Monday – Friday 6am – 8pm
- Saturday & Sunday 8am – 5pm
Bookings are for a maximum of 45mins periods only to allow for cleaning between bookings.

*1 booking per person/group per day. You may not attend as part of multiple group bookings under different group booking names. You are allowed 1 x 45min sauna per day.
*Bookings open 1 day in advance.
*No show bookings or those not following sauna booking processes/rules will be stood down from making any further bookings for a period of 48 hours.
Group Fitness & Aqua Class information
Group Fitness & Aqua Classes capacity has been reduced in numbers to maintain physical distancing throughout the facility.
Please refrain from calling and emailing for bookings to allow our team to focus on customers in the facility. Information for online booking requests is below.
Group Fitness Class number restrictions:
- Group Fitness class capacity reduced to 18
- (Maximum 2 classes per day per member).
- Virtual RPM class capacity reduced to maximum 3 people. Classes are available every hour on the hour from: 6am – 7pm weekdays and 8:30am – 3:30pm weekends. (No instructed RPM classes during level 2.)
Aqua Class Number Restrictions:
Hydro Pool Classes
- Aqua Relief and Hydro Classes - Maximum of 12 per class and bookings essential.
- Legends Aqua - Maximum of 16 per class.
- Aqua Fit - Maximum 25 per class. Wednesday 6pm Aqua Fit maximum 20 per class.
Please ensure physical distancing when entering and exiting the pools for your class. All equipment used in classes will need to be sprayed and wiped down after use.
How to request a class booking
*Bookings open by 6 am each day for the following day
*Cancellations – please give as much notice as possible by replying to your confirmation or calling us on (03) 543 9755 ext 3.
*Note when cancelling classes – all classes you requested in that request/day will be cancelled. You will need to rebook any others you still want to attend.

When arriving for your class after scanning in, head through to the Fitness Centre where staff will direct you to the back door. Participants will need to line up outside the room following the 2-metre physical distancing rules, you will be invited into the room by the instructor when they are ready for you to come in. You will need to stay in your allocated space. All equipment used in classes will need to be sprayed and wiped down after use.
If you have booked a class and cannot make it please let us know ASAP so we can pass your spot on to someone else on the waitlist. 2x no shows to classes in a 14 day period may result in a stand down from booing further classes for an additional 14 days.
Swimming lessons will be running as per normal and instructors will maintain physical distancing were possible.
Adult Fitness Squad will still run but be limited to 4 people per lane, please email firstname.lastname@example.org to book.
There will be no Splash Time during level 2
There will be no free swims or stay and play before/after lessons in the leisure pools during level 2, please arrive for your lesson ready to swim and leave after your lessons. If you wish to stay and play you may pay a discounted casual swim rate to receive a swim pass band.
We are encouraging only 1 spectator/parent assistant per each student swimming
Where possible please shower and change at home if you can.
- All Debit Success customers payments will restart when they have had 3 weeks of suspensions to compensate for 3 weeks of lockdown.
- All lump sum customers will have their end dates extended in line with the number of lessons they have missed.
No masks are required whilst exercising, but please wear a mask when entering and exiting the Fitness Centre.
All members must bring their own towel and drink bottle, drinking fountains are closed, however bottle fillers remain open. If you are participating in a class please ensure you bring your own mat.
Some equipment has been removed and/or put out of order to allow 2m physical distancing. Please ensure you clean equipment after use.
ChillOut After School Care & Holiday Programme
Our ChillOut childcare programmes are still operating in level 2, you can book all your after school and holiday care needs online at https://chillout.clmnz.co.nz/programmes/
The café will be open for takeaways. There will be limited seating at times, however, some restrictions will apply. Birthday parties can still be accommodated, please speak with our team if you wish to have a party booking during level 2.
