CLUB SUPPORT

CLM Community Sport is committed to building stronger sports clubs within the Counties Manukau region. Sports clubs are the lifeblood of our communities but face many challenges.

Young people have more choices, so sports clubs have to work harder to provide competitions and activities that retain their existing members and attract new members.

Sports clubrooms are ageing, and it is becoming increasingly more difficult to maintain them. Clubs are competing for grounds with other sports. Volunteers are hard to come by and sometimes it is a struggle to get the right people doing the jobs that need to be done.

How we can help

Governance

Governance is having the processes and systems to enable good decision-making to help our organisation achieve its purpose. It is also about setting and exemplifying our agreed values and behaviours both individually and collectively. The Team at CLM Community Sport is here to meet with the committees of clubs/community organisations and offer advice to assist them to improve the outcomes and experience of their members. There are a number of services they can provide to ensure that staff and volunteers of these organisations are working ‘smarter not harder’ which will have a direct benefit to their members.

Funding

Funding

We understand that Funding is an essential part to the survival and growth of many of our clubs / organisations. We have a dedicated team of staff that will assist with identifying and improving your chances of being successful with funding applications so that you can provide better opportunities and experiences for your members. We aim to make this process less stressful and empower our communities by upskilling and supporting them throughout the application process.

Marketing

Marketing is Everything these days. It is the way that you’re ‘Brand’ as an organisation is perceived by new and existing members when they interact with you. In the online world that we live in these days, it is a key part of how you engage with your audience and not many of us do it well. Marketing is everything from Websites, Social media, Newsletters, Signage, Sponsorship and everything in between that will promote your services but also allow new and existing members to interact with you. Our team of experts are happy to assist you in this area.
