THE HER PROJECT PAPAKURA

Are you a young woman in Papakura looking to lead a healthy and active life?

The HER Project is here to help! This FREE year-long programme has been designed for girls aged 12-16 who want to gain valuable skills for their daily lives.

The aim of this programme is to engage young wahine in all aspects of their Hauora (Physical, mental, spiritual & social). To start off we will meet up with these girls once a fortnight, moving on to monthly catch-ups. The sessions will consist of getting active in the form of a workout or sport and will finish with a theory session such as nutrition, goal setting or learning a new skill that interests them. These sessions will be located at the Papakura Recreation Centre with some sessions being offsite.
The goal is to give them the opportunities to get active together and within their communities.

Sessions are run from 3:30 pm-5:30 pm on the first Wednesday of each month.

Come join us and build your confidence and knowledge today!
