Originally developed in 2017 and brought back into life in 2024, Kaiārahi Taiao is possibly the first personality model and tool ever delivered through the lens of, and drawing from, mātauranga Māori. The model is inspired by the work of Carl Jung, specifically in relation to his theory on archetypes. It also pulls from common elemental personality theory to give a rich understanding of human behaviour and motivation. Well-known archetypes that resonate with many Māori, with the addition of a suite of whakatauki, all lead to deeper understanding of the various cognitive preferences and a model that has so far been well received by all have tried and applied it.

The combination of these two parts creates your Kaiārahi Taiao.

An online tool has also been created to assist participants that go through this training, bringing the model to life and making the assessment process nice and easy.

Keep an eye out on the website as this tool goes live shortly or contact Scott on sci@clmnz.co.nz for more information.
