New Additions to the Team!

We are excited to announce the most recent addition to our team - Nicola Bailey & Simon Hafoka, who have started with us as Healthy Active Learning Advisors joining our Schools & Kura Team.

Introducing Nicola & Simon...

Nicola grew up in Manurewa and now lives in Bombay with her whānau. Prior to joining the team, Nicola was the Director of Sport at Rosehill College (3 years), and before that had worked as a Health & PE teacher at Howick College (8 years). She is looking forward to working with teachers and Kaiako to change the experiences of ākonga within the Health and PE curriculum and creating life-long practitioners of Health and PE. A fan of the outdoors – Nicola also enjoys coaching her daughters junior rugby team!

Simon was born and bred in Onehunga and has lived overseas for the past 25 years! While living in the UK, he worked as a teacher, with 10 years as the head of Primary PE at a bilingual school in Spain. With a background as a professional coach, rugby player and Director of rugby at several clubs abroad, Simon is looking forward to working with schools out South to make a positive impact with students and their whānau. In his spare time, he loves surfing and spending time with his tamariki and extended family.
