Toshiba Sports Breakfast connects community
Toshiba Sports Leaders Breakfast brings community together
Last week we brought our Counties Manukau Sports Leaders together for our bi-monthly breakfast, proudly presented by our friends at Toshiba.
These breakfasts are a great opportunity to connect and network, as well as share progress our team is making in our community, and what opportunities that may present for clubs and codes out South.
Our Healthy Active Learning Team Lead Nikki Johnson presented on the opportunity that exists within the Tamariki space as well as Youth Sport Advisor Mack Cammock providing a summary the impact being made locally through Coach Emerge & Coach Evolve programmes.
We were very lucky to have Aktive Chief Executive Jennah Wootten provide an overview of what is on the horizon. Some of the themes including removing barriers for participation throughout Tamaki Makaurau, a point well received by all in attendance.
We are committed to connecting our regional sporting organisations with key influencers and decision makers, a big thanks to Ōtara-Papatoetoe Local Board Chair Apulu Reece Autagavaia, Franklin Local Board Member Logan Soole & Manurewa Local Board Member Heather Andrew for attending and sharing insights from their respective communities.
Our goal is to have a representative from all Local Boards in Counties Manukau attend moving forward.
Thank you to all of our Counties Manukau sports leaders for attending the breakfast, it's always great bringing our community together.
We look forward to bringing our leaders together again before the end of the year for a special Christmas get together.
