WOMEN & GIRLS LEAD APPOINTMENT

CYNTHIA TA’ALA-TIMALOA

CLM Community Sport is pleased to announce and welcome Cynthia Ta’ala-Timaloa as our new Women & Girls Lead. Cynthia is coming from her current role as the Sports-Co-ordinator at Marist College. Prior to this she was employed as the Women’s Rugby Development Manager for Counties Manukau Rugby Union over a period of 3 years. Throughout her time there she had achieved some significant outcomes that influenced the growth in the number of women and girls playing rugby.


She describes herself as a passionate Pasifika woman in sport, who is excited to be joining the team in her new role. Cynthia is looking forward to being the lead for Women and Girls in the Counties Manukau Region. People and providing opportunities through sport, active recreation and physical activity is at the heart of what Cynthia loves to do. This has led to her playing numerous sports, coaching and mentoring at national and international levels.


Given her very busy lifestyle, one of Cynthia’s favourite quotes is “It isn’t about how much time we have on this earth, it’s what you do with the time given that counts.”
