Play
At CLM Community Sport, we believe all tamariki should have access to fun & inclusive sport and active recreation experiences.
Our aim is to foster a positive community sport culture where tamariki feel safe to participate as themselves, their wellbeing is nurtured, and their connection to their community and local environments is strengthened through movement and play.
We take a whānau-led, community-focused approach, working in partnership with whānau, parents, caregivers, schools, and local organisations to ensure sport and physical activity opportunities are welcoming, culturally respectful, and accessible to all. By working together, we help build strong, active communities and create lasting impact across our rōhe.
Play Stencils
Bringing Active Play to Life in Your Community
CLM Community Sport offers free, hireable play stencils to help activate community spaces and encourage fun, inclusive physical activity. Our reusable, full-scale PVC stencils are designed to create painted markings on playgrounds, courts, and other shared spaces.
State of Play
The purpose of the State of Play is to establish the evidence base for play recommendations for schools through desktop data analysis and site observation – through a ‘snapshot’ opportunity of play across breaktimes
Neighbourhood Play System
The Neighbourhood Play System is an exciting approach to urban play design that places tamariki at the centre of the process. They can tell us where they play, how they play and what’s preventing them from playing more at school and in their neighbourhood.
