CLM make a splash at the 2024 New Zealand Aquatic Awards.
Last night the aquatics industry got together for the New Zealand Aquatics Awards in Lower Hutt. Highlighting our continued commitment to developing leaders and innovation within the sector, CLM walked away with two awards.
Scott White (also known as Poppa Manu) from Nayland Park Pool won the Lifeguard of the Year 2024, while our sustainability initiatives won a Merit award for Innovation within the sector.
The 2024 New Zealand Aquatic Awards followed a successful WAVES Conference where four members of the CLM team shared insights and expertise with the conference delegates.
Jude Bell White shared his experience in completing the Senior Lifeguard Qualification through Te Mahi Ako, Emmett Feeley spoke on Aquatics Sustainability, Lynn Cartwright shared the success of the SwimMagic Swim School safe start programme and Kirsty Knowles shared experience and advice on how we can better support our teams.
To wrap up the three days, CLM's Lifeguard team came a commendable third place in the New Zealand Lifeguard Competition
Thanks again to Recreation Aotearoa - Te Whai Oranga for an amazing few day!
