CLM Facilities and National Fitness Manager Named EXNZ Awards Finalists
CLM Facilities and National Fitness Manager Recognised as EXNZ Awards 2026 Finalists
CLM is proud to celebrate an outstanding achievement, with four of our facilities and our National Fitness Manager named finalists in the Exercise New Zealand Awards 2026.
Cameron Pools, Mt Albert Community Centre, Franklin Pool and Leisure Centre, and Richmond Aquatic Centre are all finalists in the new Recreation Facility of the Year category.
The recognition reflects the passion, commitment and hard work of the teams behind each facility. Every day, they create welcoming spaces and deliver quality fitness, aquatics and recreation services that support the wellbeing of their local communities.
The Recreation Facility of the Year category was introduced to recognise facilities whose purpose extends beyond a traditional stand-alone fitness club. It celebrates council, trust and community-operated leisure facilities that bring together fitness, aquatics, recreation and community wellbeing services.
Adding to the celebrations, CLM National Fitness Manager Mike Bishop has been named a finalist in the highly contested Leadership Award category.
Mike’s nomination recognises his long-standing contribution to the industry, his leadership across the Fitness by CLM network and his dedication to supporting teams, members and communities throughout New Zealand.
Exercise New Zealand is the national industry body representing New Zealand’s exercise, fitness, recreation and wellness sector. It advocates for the industry while supporting education, professional development and consistent industry standards.
The winners will be announced at the Exercise New Zealand Awards Gala Dinner at the Grand Millennium Hotel in Auckland on Friday 20 November 2026.
A huge congratulations to the teams at Cameron Pools, Mt Albert Community Centre, Franklin Pool and Leisure Centre, and Richmond Aquatic Centre, as well as Mike Bishop. Being named a finalist is already an incredible achievement, and we wish them all the very best for the big night!
