Innovative CLM Programmes recognised at the 2023 Aquatics Awards

Last night the Aotearoa aquatics industry got together for the NZ Aquatics Awards in Hamilton.

Highlighting our commitment to delivering quality community focussed programmes, CLM was awarded two Merit Awards - Dive into Success Internship Programme and He tāhuna tau atu.

We are incredibly proud of our team delivering both these programmes and the opportunities they create for our communities.

See below for more information about both Dive into Success Internship Programme and He tāhuna tau atu.

He tāhuna tau atu

Using a kaupapa Māori approach He tāhuna tau atu provides a pathway for rangatahi Māori gaining employment in the aquatics industry. Additionally, it relieves the pressure experienced by service providers who at times struggle to find staff to man outdoor pools at the height of the Aquatics season, particularly since Covid and subsequent national staff shortages.

Dive into Success Internship Programme

A collaboration between Choices NZ and CLM, The internship provides an opportunity for Individuals with intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, and other neurodiverse needs, to develop knowledge and learn transferable skills required in the workforce. This internship assists with developing confidence and is a great addition to the CV of the participant.
