Whangārei Clean Up

Whangārei Aquatic Centre got their weekend off to a flyer, joining F.O.R.C.E's with the Whangārei Monthly Clean Up crew to spruce up the surrounding area.

Half a tonne of waste was recovered all within 200m of the facility, from the riverbed and bushes on our doorstep we pulled car wheels, bikes, mattresses and much more.
The sorting station set up under a gazebo allowed for approximately 140kg of this waste to be recycled!

These kind of efforts not only have a feel good team building effect but make a huge impact on the environment in our own backyard.
