Jo Loveridge

SwimMagic Head Instructor

With 12 years of experience as a swim instructor, (both in Christchurch and here in Nelson), and various Swimming New Zealand, and Austswim qualifications, Jo brings a wealth of experience and passion to the position of Head Instructor. When not working alongside Patsy (our Swim School Administrator) in the swim school office, assisting with the enrolment of new customers, Jo can be found poolside working alongside instructors to ensure our swimmers receive the best possible swimming and water safety lessons. Jo plans and runs our instructor training sessions, and works on the basis that our swim school if not already, will be the swim school of choice for the region!
When not at work, Jo can be found walking out in the wilds of western Golden bay, swimming in the ocean, or knee-deep in her vege garden!”

Patsy Berriman

Swim School Administrator

I have been teaching swimming for 16 years, whilst specialising in babies, I’m happy teaching any level. I am passionate about all kiwi tamariki and rangatahi having access to swimming lessons & water safety experiences, so working with local and national funders to make this happen is an important part of what I do. It’s never too late to learn how to swim so providing whanau of any age the opportunity to be safe in and around our waterways is a priority. Co-ordinating our school groups programme and looking after our customers are my main focus each day, however, you will often find me poolside helping out the team in the water too, working with our community providing education for our kura and schools and other community organisations and helping with the Tasman Magic Academy.
