Richmond Aquatic Centre Named Finalist at the 2026 ExerciseNZ Awards

We're excited to share that Richmond Aquatic Centre has been named a finalist in the Recreation Facility category at the 2026 ExerciseNZ Awards.

The ExerciseNZ Awards celebrate excellence across New Zealand's exercise industry, recognising the people and facilities helping more Kiwis become active and stay active. This year's awards attracted a record number of entries, reflecting the incredible work happening in communities across Aotearoa.

Being recognised as a finalist is a fantastic achievement for our team and acknowledges the work that goes into creating a welcoming place where our community can move, connect, and enjoy being active.

Richmond Aquatic Centre Facility Manager, Vaughan Hope, said the recognition is something the whole team should be proud of.

"This recognition is a real credit to our whole team. Every department plays a part in making Richmond Aquatic Centre a place where people feel welcome, supported and encouraged to be active. We're incredibly proud to be recognised as finalists alongside some of New Zealand's leading recreation facilities."

The winners will be announced at the ExerciseNZ Awards Ceremony at the Grand Millennium Auckland on Friday 20 November.

Congratulations to our entire Richmond team on this fantastic achievement, we'll be cheering everyone on at awards night!
