Community Voices Shape the Future at Richmond Aquatic Centre
Community Voices Shape the Future at Richmond Aquatic Centre
We were delighted to host a community focus group evening at the complex this week, bringing together a valued group of customers to share their experiences, ideas, and aspirations for the future of the facility.
These sessions are an important opportunity for us to listen, learn, and collaborate. While every customer voice matters, engaging directly with a representative group allows us to dive deeper into how we’re performing and where we can improve, both now and in the future.
The evening generated thoughtful and constructive feedback across a range of areas. Key themes included:
- Improving scheduling and managing usage conflicts in the hydrotherapy pool
- Positive feedback on the flexibility of hourly payment options within the Holiday Programme
- Demand for additional squat racks in the gym
- Enhancements to changing facilities, including dry areas and hair dryers in female changerooms
- The importance of keeping pool availability information accurate and up to date
- Reviewing the ongoing suitability of tog spinners
- Increasing accessibility within the accessible changing room, particularly shower access
We were especially pleased to receive an overall satisfaction rating of more than 8 out of 10, reflecting the strong connection our community has with the facility and the positive experience many customers already enjoy.
Our team is now actively reviewing all feedback and prioritising opportunities for improvement. Where possible, we will begin implementing changes in the short term, while also considering longer-term enhancements as part of our future planning.
We extend our sincere thanks to everyone who took the time to attend and share their insights. Your feedback plays a vital role in helping us continue to deliver a welcoming, inclusive, and high-quality environment for our entire community.
