Move for the Planet – Get Active, Go Green!
This summer, the Richmond Aquatic Centre is inviting our community to Move for the Planet — a fun, feel-good way to get active while doing something great for the environment.
Each month, we’re celebrating a different way to reduce emissions and move more mindfully:
November – Bike Month
Ride your bike to the Richmond Aquatic Centre, show your helmet or bike to our reception team and redeem your discount.
Please ride safely and follow local road rules.
Parking for bikes is available outside the facility.
December – Bus Month
Travel by Bus to the Richmond Aquatic Centre, show us your Bee Card or bus ticket and receive your discount.
Valid for the same day as travel only.
January – Carpool Month
Tavel with at least one other person (from a different household where possible). Let our reception team know who you travelled with and redeem your discount.
Each person in the carpool is eligible for this offer.
February – 10,000 Steps Month
Complete 10,000 steps in a day (tracked using your phone, watch or a pedometer), show your step count to our reception team and receive your discount.
Steps can be completed anywhere – not just to and from the Aquatic Centre.
To reward our community for making greener travel choices, we’re offering discounted pool entry and 50% off coffees when you arrive by the featured mode of transport. Whether you pedal, bus, share a ride, or step it out — every move makes a difference.
Plus, everyone who takes part will go in the draw to win a 3-month gym membership, with the winner announced at the end of the promotion!
The Move for the Planet initiative is all about celebrating small changes that make a big impact — for our health, our community, and our planet.
